To empty the cache with Netscape 4.5 and above:
 
From the menu bar at the top of the screen, select Edit/Preferences. A dialogue box will appear with a list of categories on the left-hand side. Click on the + sign next to Advanced. Click on Cache. On the right side of the dialogue box, you will see 2 buttons: clear memory cache and clear disk cache. Click the clear memory cache button, and then click Okay when notified that all files currently in your memory cache will be removed. Do the same for the clear disk cache button. Your cache will then be clear.
 
To empty the cache for Internet Explorer 5.0 and above:
 
From the menu bar at the top of the screen, select Tools/Internet Options. You will see the General tab page, which is divided into 3 sections. The second section is Temporary Internet Files. Click the "Delete Files" button, then Okay to confirm the deletion. Your cache will then be clear.
